Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Vanorika Technologies (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit vanorikatechnologies.co.zw or engage our services. We are based in Harare, Zimbabwe and handle personal data in line with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act (2021).

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, company, and the project details you send via our contact form, WhatsApp, or email.
  • Newsletter: the email address you submit to receive our monthly security updates.
  • Technical data: first-party analytics about how the site is used, described in full under Cookies & analytics. No IP address is stored.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiries and deliver the services you request.
  • To send you the newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe anytime).
  • To improve our website and services.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except with the service providers needed to operate (e.g. email delivery), or where required by law.

Data protection & your rights

Under the Cyber and Data Protection Act (2021), you have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. We collect only what we need, keep it only as long as necessary, and apply appropriate technical safeguards to protect it.

  • Access & correction: request a copy of your data or ask us to fix inaccuracies.
  • Deletion: ask us to remove your data where we have no ongoing need to keep it.
  • Consent: withdraw your consent (e.g. unsubscribe) at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email donovanmudarikwa@vanorikatechnologies.co.zw.

Data security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

Cookies & analytics

We measure how the site is used with our own analytics. They send nothing to Google Analytics, and we do not store your IP address. When you load a page we record:

  • The page: which page you opened, the site that linked you here (just its name, such as google.com), and any campaign tag in the link (for example a QR code or our Google Business profile).
  • Rough location: the city, region and country your network connection reports. Never your street, your coordinates or anything more precise than a city.
  • Your browser and device: the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), the browser and its main version, the operating system, and a rough screen size band (such as “under 480 pixels wide”).
  • Language and timezone: the language your browser prefers and the timezone it is set to.
  • How you read: how long the page was open and in use, and how far down you scrolled.
  • Clicks that matter: whether you tapped WhatsApp, a call to action, or started or finished a form. Not what you typed.

To tell a returning visitor from a new one we set one first-party cookie, vt_vid. It holds a random number that means nothing on its own, it lasts 90 days, and only this site can read it. We store a scrambled version of it, never the cookie itself. We also keep a random id for each browser tab (cleared when you close the tab). We do not fingerprint your device or use any of this to follow you on other sites.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we do not set the vt_vid cookie, and your visits are counted only with a daily code that changes every day. You can also block or delete the cookie in your browser settings; the site works the same without it.

This information does not tell us who you are. It is only linked to you if you choose to send us an enquiry through a form or the site assistant: then the pages you viewed before enquiring are attached to your enquiry, so we can see what you were interested in. Ask us and we will delete both.

If we sent your organisation a personal link (it looks like vanorikatechnologies.co.zw/r/ followed by a short code), opening it tells us that link was opened, when, on which kind of device and from which country, and which pages were read on that visit. The code names no one; only we know which organisation it was sent to. Ask us and we will delete that record too.

In our own dashboard we may add a private note to a visitor record, for example to mark our own devices so they are not counted, or to note which organisation a personal link was sent to. These notes are never shown on the site or shared.

Page counts from our host (Vercel)

The site is hosted by Vercel, which also gives us simple page counts through Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies. For each page it receives the address of the page (without anything after a question mark), the site that linked you here, your country, and the type of device, browser and operating system. It does not run on private pages, such as client reports, the authorisation form or our dashboard. Vercel and our analytics database run on servers outside Zimbabwe, so this information is processed abroad.

Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)

To see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to the site, we may ask your permission to use Meta's pixel. It loads only if you tap Accept in that prompt. If you decline, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, it never loads and nothing is sent to Meta. When it is on, Meta receives the pages you visit here, your browser details and its own cookies, and handles them under Meta's privacy policy. It never runs on private pages, such as client reports, status pages or the authorisation form. You can change your answer at any time with Privacy choices at the bottom of every page.
